Restoration of Agnes Scott “Main” Hall
Long-known as the heart of the college, Main Hall is the building that Scotties recognize as a marker of home which helps to shape their educational experience. The restoration of Main Hall, the oldest building campus is the focus of the Campaign for Main with the goal to raise $31.8 million. The renovation of this historic structure will reconfirm it as an example of technological, residential, building sustainability and operational innovation that marks the academic and student experience for Scotties today. The continued student enrollment growth has increased the urgency of Main's restoration and philanthropic investments are the key to realizing the vision for this beloved campus icon. Campus Technology Fund
In order for students to have an enriching online/remote educational experience in response to the COVID pandemic, faculty and staff across campus worked for months to develop new, engaging virtual courses and co-curricular experiences that are innovative and impactful through the increased use of technology. We must continue to upgrade the college’s academic and administrative systems and related infrastructure including hardware and software. These urgent upgrades help to ensure that the college continues to provide a meaningful and high-quality education to all of our students today and tomorrow. Gifts made to the Campus Technology Fund are part of The Fund for Agnes Scott.
Campus Social Justice Fund
Agnes Scott fosters an inclusive campus-one that embraces and supports every student from the very first day they step on campus. The social unrest experienced across the country in response to issues of police brutality and racism represent an opportunity to enhance our social justice initiatives and diversity, equity and inclusion programming to more fully live our mission to “engage the intellectual and social challenges of our times.” By enhancing the student experience through creative and dynamic programming as well as increased outreach, learning and research opportunities, the college will remain a beacon of innovation, inspiration and impact for our students and the world. Gifts made to the Campus Social Justice Fund are part of The Fund for Agnes Scott.
