Institutional Assessment

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness regularly coordinates or conducts various institutional assessment activities to help the College evaluate programs, services and areas of student learning and satisfaction. Since student success is at the heart of an educational mission, meaningful assessment of administrative support units as well as academic and student services is fundamental to institutional effectiveness.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) sets forth criteria, in its  (2018 edition), which focus on the institutional effectiveness of administrative units and academic and student services that support student success. In order to meet these standards and requirements the institution must engage in ongoing and systematic assessment of programs, services, and operations, with the goal of continuous institutional improvement.
