Catalyst

The Catalyst Leadership Fellow Program is a four-year, cohort-based leadership development program that helps students further develop their purpose, live honorably, and affect change.

While each year of the Catalyst Leadership Fellows Program has an intentional focus, we believe that our students learn best when involved in a learning community. As such, Catalyst Fellows will have a chance to delve into topics together in bi-weekly meetings and once-a-semester retreats to cover a variety of topics:

  • Ethical leadership
  • Examination of Evolving Identities
  • Controversy with civility
  • Strengths-based leadership through CliftonStrengths

Year One: Self-Reflection

Starting in your second semester at Agnes Scott, you'll be invited to join our leadership learning community to discuss your leadership journey and explore:

  • Exploration of values
  • Leadership communication
  • Exploration and development of your identities

Year Two: Developing Purpose

In your sophomore year, you'll continue to expound on the skills developed by continuing to attend regular leadership development workshops and creating and managing a service project of your choosing. You'll use this experience to dive deeper into:

  • Identifying passions and areas of interest within a global context
  • Personal accountability

Year Three: Living Honorably

During your Junior year, you will continue managing your service project and begin mentoring incoming fellows. You'll be taking this time to foster a deeper knowledge on

  • Advocacy in Actions
  • Mentoring
  • Facilitation and instructional design

Year Four: Affecting Change

At the closing of year four, you'll prepare to leave Agnes Scott and continue your leadership journey post-graduation. Graduates will receive a graduation cord to symbolize the completion of the leadership program. Year four's topics include:

  • Leading and executing change
  • Mentoring
  • Developing a purpose
  • Developing a personal leadership philosophy
